£120 is payable upon booking to secure your date. This is the cost of the trial and will be deducted from your final invoice.

Our Weddings T&C’s

We are based in Tadcaster, mileage is charged at 50p per mile. All prices are subject to travel (please enquire for further information).

Minimum booking fee of £250 Oct-March & £300 April-Sept (plus mileage charges) for a single make-up artist on wedding day.

Bride only bookings may incur additional booking fees. Winter Oct-March, Summer March-Sept.

Additional Artists for Large Bookings: Where a booking requires additional artists beyond the services provided by Anna and Emily, any additional artists will be sourced and arranged on the client's behalf. A £40 administration and sourcing fee will be added per booking to cover the coordination and management of additional artists.

Bookings which fall on a UK bank holiday, and/or require me to work unsociable hours may incur an additional charge. This will be discussed in advance and a quote provided if this is applicable to the date you have requested.

*£120 non refundable deposit is required per booking to secure a wedding date. Any additional trial costs required before trial date. If happy to proceed 50% of the balance is due within 1 week post trial, leaving the remaining balance to pay 14 days before the event.

If Make-up Artist / Hair Stylist is unable to attend the wedding due to unforeseeable circumstances then a replacement Make-up Artist / Hair Stylist will be provided, failing this the wedding cost will be refunded.

All parking costs incurred at any trial and on the reserved date will be added to the bill, any parking cost or restrictions outside your home needs to be made known in advance.

From skincare prep to final touches, you’ll leave with practical skills, product recommendations, and confidence in your makeup routine.

We recommend bringing along your current makeup bag so we can get a clear understanding of your existing skincare and makeup routine. This helps us tailor the lesson to your needs and show you how to make the most of the products you already own.

The Confidence Edit


Personalised 1:1 Makeup & Skincare Lesson, Up to 2 Hours

The Confidence Edit is a one-to-one lesson designed to help younger clients build confidence with skincare and makeup in a positive, age-appropriate way. Together, we'll create a simple skincare routine, explore products suited to individual skin types and features, and learn easy makeup techniques that enhance natural beauty. The focus is on education, self-care, and helping every client feel comfortable and confident in their own skin.

M A Y TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE BOOKING

1.DEFINITIONS

The Client: The recipient of the service and name listed on the booking form
. Hairdresser and Makeup Artist: Make-up Artists Yorkshire.
The Agreement: The contract that exists between the client and the makeup artist for the agreed fee.
The fee: The amount payable by the client to the hairdresser and makeup artist for the services listed on this website and any related documentation.
The event: Relates in principle to the date whereby the event (i.e the wedding) takes place.
 The party: Additional members of the bridal party.

2. SECURING THE BOOKING OF THE EVENT

The booking of the event is only reserved once the client has paid a non-refundable deposit to the hairdresser and makeup artist.
 The deposit is £120– this is required to secure the event.
 Arranging a trial does not reserve the makeup artist’s services for the event. 
Events are subject to a £250 minimum spend Oct-March & £300 April-Sept (plus mileage charges) for a single make-up artist on the wedding day.

3. PAYMENT

Payments can be made in cash or via bank transfer.
 The non-refundable deposit of £120 plus mileage (which covers the cost of trial) paid by the client is taken off the fee.
 The trial is paid prior to the time of trial. 
50% of the fee is to be paid within 1 week post trial if happy to proceed, leaving the remaining balance to be cleared 2 weeks (14 days) before the event.
Failure to pay the fee within the stated time will result in the event being cancelled by the makeup artist.

4. RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CLIENT

The client shall inform the hairdresser and makeup artist of any issues that may affect the use of any equipment or products. This includes but is not limited to sensitivities, allergies and medical conditions. The hairdresser and makeup artist cannot be held liable for any losses or damage that is incurred due to the client’s failure to inform the artist of any known condition.
 The hairdresser and makeup artist reserves the right to refuse service to the client or members of the party for, but not limited to, abusive and threatening behaviour.

5. CANCELLATIONS

At any point the client can cancel the event by informing the hairdresser and makeup artist in writing (including email).
 The hairdresser and makeup artist will be under no obligation to refund any money paid up until point of cancellation, if the booking is cancelled within 31 days or less before the wedding/event date then the client must pay the full amount of the booking due to loss of earnings of the hairdresser and makeup artist. There will be no exceptions.
 The client can cancel a trial at any point, however a trial cancelled with less than 24 hours notice will be charged for at the agreed rate. 
Cancellations by the hairdresser and makeup artist due to circumstances including, but not limited to, problems rendering the performance of their obligations and where no other suitable alternative can be given -will result in a refund to the client. No further compensation will be offered
 If the booking is directly affected by circumstances beyond the control of the hairdresser and makeup artist every possible endeavour to rectify such situations will be made, however no compensation will be offered on the hairdresser and makeup artist’s part. The client is strongly advised to take out wedding insurance to cover against such situations.

6. EXCLUSIVITY

Exclusivity is not guaranteed for the whole day of the event, therefore timings will be seriously considered when agreeing to any booking.
It is unlikely that there will be another event on the day; and any second event undertaken by the hairdresser and makeup artist will not affect the first event. 
An exclusivity fee can be arranged if preferred.

7. PHOTOGRAPHY

Should the client agree that the hairdresser and makeup artist may use any photography for publicity purposes, this will include but are not limited to the hairdresser and makeup artist’s website and social media pages.

8. TRAVEL EXPENSES

The client will cover any necessary travel expenses of the hairdresser and makeup artist as agreed at time of booking.
 This is to include, should it be required, congestion charging and parking charges.
