A Great Skin Day

Everyone wants that perfect complexion, never more so than on their Wedding Day! Brides do have that ‘special something’ though, we see it: brighter eyes, a wider smile, and that ‘glow’…The Blushing Bride is a phrase for a reason. All Brides look beautiful…but it never hurts to give Nature a little helping hand!

Here are a few of our Top Tips:

01. Start Early

If you are introducing new products to your routine, give your skin time to adjust. No new products at least one month before your Wedding Day.

02. Drink Water

Wonderful water, drink your two litres a day. Every Day. This is so essential; we can tell straight away in our skin if we have not drunk enough (.... or if we have substituted our two litres for Wine!)

03. Omega 3 Supplements & Fatty Acids

The eating of oily fish (Salmon etc…) or the taking of fish oil or a flax seed supplement is a great move; all are really amazing for your skin, it’s skin care from the inside out! Start these as soon as you can.

04. Facials

Lots of Brides like to get a facial close to their Wedding Day and we absolutely agree that this can be beneficial…but make sure your skins is ‘ok’ with the products the Technician is using! And do not book your facial any closer than two weeks prior to your Wedding date…. because lots of facials will push out congestion in the skin and, that means spots! So, give your skin time to settle.

05. Speaking of spots

Hey, they happen! And we know that we are not the only ones who get ‘straight in there’ to squeeze the living daylights out of them…inevitably, causing a tiny pimple to become a red volcano! Do not do it…or at least, really try not to! Instead, apply a Salicylic Acid product or good old Sudacrem and then let your makeup artist work their magic!

Wishing you a great skin day always.
